CRAFT-MAKING/SEWING MONDAY

Sewing knitting, crocheting, embroidery.
We will teach your kids basic sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and other crafts. What better way to keep them busy and creative when their homework is finished?

DANCE WEDNESDAY                                                                                    
This program is for girls and boys who love to move and create!  Collaborate, problem solve, and use the elements of dance to explore the endless possibilities of choreography.  Students gain body awareness, improve motor skills and musicality, while creating new movement.  Since the course emphasizes creativity and self-expression, students with or without prior dance experience will equally love this class!

CHESS FRIDAY

This game has been found to develop critical and logical thinking skills, sportsmanship, planning, patience and other important skills. this class combines different methods, like puzzles, online matches and student games to teach everything they need to know to play this game. all levels are welcomed.


DRAMA TUESDAY 

WILD THINGS pre-K and K
Now is the time to play!  Our youngest actors will learn to work together by exploring familiar characters and stories as well as being encouraged to let their imagination go wild and invent a tale or two.  Silliness is encouraged!  Pirates?  Princesses?  Wild Things?  Come try it all!  Students will develop confidence while being introduced to the vocabulary of theatre.  Movement and music will be incorporated as well, and each actor will have a chance to shine both individually and within the group.  Performance based on stories explored in class will be shared on last day. 

ACTING UP First and second grade
Young actors are invited to begin their theater adventures here!  Actors will work together to explore the basics of improvisation and acting skills while working on their own production based on some well-known stories, learning how to develop characters and plot along the way.  Creativity is encouraged, laughter is guaranteed!  Final class will perform for friends and family.  
New Art Classes 2015/2016

CENTER STAGE THIRD, FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADE
Working to develop the tools needed to be a performer - body, voice, and imagination - young actors at this level are able to combine the freewheeling anything-goes imaginative play of creative drama with the more disciplined training needed to create truth onstage.  Actors will further their craft by learning to follow the rules of improv through exciting and fast-paced activities, working on a multitude scenes, and creating characters both new and established.  It all comes together with a final presentation to be shared on the last day! 

ART THURSDAY

TALK ABOUT A DIVERSE! THIS CLASS USES A VARIETY OF METHODS TO TEACH STUDENTS DIFFERENT ART TECHNIQUES TO CREATE UNIQUE PROJECTS. THESE TECHNIQUES INCLUDE SCULPTURE, RECYCLED MATERIALS, PAINT, 3-D OBJECTS, PUPPETRY, AND MANY OTHERS.
